SALONE DEL GUSTO - The Enoteca

Logo Slow-Food

The Enoteca, the section of the Salone del Gusto dedicated to wine, has always been a favorite. Here you will find professional sommelliers who are able and ready to give advice and answer technical questions about the wines, as they serve from the enormous variety of whites and reds, stored at correct temperatures and clearly displayed with their labels to the fore.
You will be welcome to make a selection from an extensive wine list - but with over 2,500 labels from Italy and around the world, the choice won't be easy!
The Enoteca, with the same opening hours as the Salone, requires neither entrance fee nor reservation. There will be over 1000 seats, and wines served by the glass will permit you to taste a variety of labels at a limited cost.
The Enoteca will function much as it has in past edition. First you purchase tasting tickets at the Enoteca ticket booth and make your selections from the three different groups of wine, divided by price. You then request the wine you wish at the counter, pay with the tasting tickets, and then sit down at a table to swirl and sip con calma!
The wines will be those chosen by Slow Food during comprehensive and detailed tastings and cited by Slow Food Editore publishing house in its various publications: Slowine magazine, Guida ai vini del mondo, Guida al vino quotidiano, and Italian Wines (in conjunction with Gambero Rosso).
All Italian regions will be represented at the Enoteca: from the ones most heralded for their wines, such as Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Tuscany, to those in which fine winemaking is on the rise, such as Sicily, Puglia and Campania. The rest of the world will be well represented as well, with 'delegations' of bottles from all five continents.
You will be able to sample the finest labels of France, Australia, Lebanon, the Czech Republic, Portugal and so on.
So come to the Enoteca, and make a toast to conviviality with wines from all around the globe!
Info : including all the range of Raymond Boulard Champagnes.
